The industry programme at ESCMID Global is an integral component that features educational sessions organised and funded by sponsors. All industry sessions are recorded, broadcasted live and available six months after the congress concludes with sponsor’s approval. A preliminary programme will be available in December.
Each session highlights state-of-the-art technologies and/or procedures related to the clinical microbiology and infectious disease fields. Presentation content is evaluated to ensure scientific integrity and no promotional content.

A new industry session at ESCMID Global which offers participants practical knowledge with guidance and feedback from two invited experts by the sponsoring industry partner. Engagement and interaction with the audience is expected during the sessions which will take place from 13:30-14:30 and 14:45-15:45. In some cases, content may involve a pre-recording or video call from a remote laboratory if demonstration cannot be executed at the venue site.
A designated space for short presentations highlighting the latest products of participating industry partners to a small audience of up to 70 people. Organisers here can showcase the latest innovations and developments or products to targeted audiences in a theatre style 20 minute presentation. This is the only session in which ESCMID does not screen the content prior to the congress and promotional content (e.g. product placement) is allowed.
Integrated Workshops are educational sessions organised and funded by industry partners, and they form an additional component of ESCMID Global’s Education Friday programme. These half-day or full-day workshops are carefully evaluated by the Programme Committee to ensure scientific integrity and cannot have promotional content. These new sessions can employ alternative or innovative formats, including interactive discussion, small group work, etc. and organisers are encouraged to pursue such formats.
