About the Venue and Porto

Located on the Douro River, Porto is home to beautiful architecture, rich culture and its iconic landmarks including the Dom Luís I Bridge and the Clerigos Tower. It is also the birthplace of port wine, so exploring its famed wine cellars is a must. Porto is a vibrant and dynamic city, making it the perfect place to host the ESCMID/ASM joint conference 2024. 

The ESCMID/ASM joint conference will take place at Hilton Porto Gaia, located in the Vila Nova de Gaia district. How to Travel:
From Porto Airport: We recommend taking a taxi or going by metro.

Taxi or Ride Share:
Approx. 20 - 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Cost around 20 - 30 EUR.

Metro:
Approx 50 minutes. Cost around 2 - 4 EUR
Take the Purple Line (Line E) from Porto Airport to Trindade station
Switch to the Yellow Line (Line D) at Trindade Station, heading towards Santo Ovidio, and get off at Jardim do Morro station.

From Jardim de Morro it will be about a 15-minute walk to the Hilton Porto Gaia.
