Aims and objectives

The ESCMID Study Group for Infections in Critically Ill Patients (ESGCIP) is fighting infectious diseases in critically ill patients, with a special focus on multidrug-resistant pathogens. Together, we are dedicated to:

Conducting collaborative projects to tackle infectious issues in critically ill patients
Developing guidelines in collaboration with other ESCMID study groups on bacterial and fungal infections, as well as antimicrobial drug optimisation
Promoting knowledge and strategies on how to manage infections and combat antimicrobial resistance in critically ill patients
