This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of implant-associated infections in human medicine. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, students will delve into the latest advancements and best practices in addressing these complex medical challenges. Topics covered include infection prevention protocols, innovative diagnostic approaches, antimicrobial therapies, and emerging trends in implant infection management. Intended audience: 

Physicians with an interest in updating knowledge on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of implant associated infections (eq. Orthopaedic, Traumatology, Cardiac, Vascular and others).

The course aims to give an introduction and an update on current knowledge of the practice in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of different implant-associated infections in human medicine.
