In regions where antimicrobial resistance is prevalent and difficult-to-treat infections pose significant clinical challenges, the implementation of effective antimicrobial stewardship programs is crucial to ensure optimal patient outcomes and combat the spread of resistance. This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop and implement AMS programs tailored to their specific settings.
Intended audience:
Target Audience ID Physicians, Medical Microbiologists, Clinical Pharmac(olog)ists, ICU physicians, Internists, Specialist Nurses, Pediatricians and other medical specialties.
Objectives:
At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
- Understand the basics and need for AMS in their setting
- Develop and implement an AMS program relevant to their setting
