A comprehensive course designed to educate and train doctors, hospital pharmacists, and healthcare providers interested in advancing their knowledge and skills in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) and infection prevention and control (IPC). This course addresses the critical intersection between judicious antimicrobial use and effective infection control practices, emphasizing the importance of both aspects in combating antimicrobial resistance and reducing healthcare-associated infections.

Intended audience: 

Target Audience ID Physicians, Medical Microbiologists, Clinical Pharmac(olog)ists, ICU physicians, Internists, Specialist Nurses, Pediatricians and other medical specialties.

Objectives: 

Train and educate doctors, hospital pharmacists and healthcare providers interested in Antimicrobial Stewardship, on how to a) use appropriately antimicrobials in complicated infections, but also b) prevent and control infections, thus eliminating the need for the use of antimicrobials.

This course is part of the AMS Certificate Programme, but has some spaces open to registrations outside of the programme.

Registration fees includes full access to the course, coffee breaks and lunches. Travel costs and accommodation are not included in the fee.
