Objectives:
The WHO’s global hepatitis strategy, endorsed by all WHO Member States, aims to reduce new hepatitis infections by 90% and deaths by 65% between 2016 and 2030. This goal has led to an increased focus on research related to viral hepatitis. This course aims to inform participants about the latest developments and opportunities. In this course, we aim to update the participants concerning major hepatitis viruses (Hepatitis virus A-E) as well as recently emerged viral agents including SARS-CoV-2, herpesviruses, and Adeno-associated viruses.
