Attendance Grant

Designed to empower scientists in their pursuit of knowledge, attendance grants provide support to scientists wishing to attend educational and scientific events organised or endorsed by ESCMID. Whether it be for courses, educational programmes, the renowned ESCMID Summer School, or other ESCMID-supported events, these grants open the doors to a world of learning and professional development.

Description

This grant covers the registration fee for the educational or scientific event of your choice, unless otherwise specified. Please note travel and accommodation expenses are not included unless accommodation costs are integrated into the event's registration fee. For further details, consult the relevant course description.

Who can apply

Attendance grants are offered to all ESCMID Full members, including Young Scientist Members (YSM) and members from low- or lower-middle-income countries (LMIC).

Application process

To apply, you will be asked to provide one single PDF document including: 

  • A short application letter 
  • Your CV 
  • A list of your publications 

Upon identifying your ideal event, please upload your single PDF document and click on 'Submit application'. You will then be redirected to the confirmation page and will also receive an email confirmation. Please contact ESCMID if you do not receive the message. Please name your file using your surname, for example, 'Surname.pdf', and ensure it does not exceed 4MB. Once ready, please visit one of these pages, then click on “Apply here”: 

Log in with your membership credentials and use the drop-down menu to find an activity that matches your interests

Selection and notification

The ESCMID criteria is meticulously applied to generate a ranking list, ensuring fairness and transparency in the selection process. Once the ranking is complete, successful grant recipients will be notified within two weeks of the application deadline. Grant recipients will receive a notification email from the ESCMID Office or the respective event organiser.
